ABOUT THE PUERTO RICAN SOCIAL CLUBThe Puerto Rican Social Club of Arizona, Inc. (PRSCA) was founded by Samuel Colon, a native of Ponce, PR and for many years, a resident of Arizona. As a non-profit organization, PRSCA was incorporated in March 9, 2004, becoming the first Puerto Rican Club incorporated in the state of Arizona. MISSION STATEMENTPRSCA will raise funds to support and enhance the ability of its members, families, and friends to meet their growing social, cultural, educational, and recreational needs. WHAT PRSCA ISThrough the initiative of community, business, and educational leaders, it is the first effort of its kind forging a partnership joining Puerto Ricans, non Hispanics and the rest of the Hispanic community leadership, which will link and access educational, cultural, social, and recreational programs. WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM PRSCAThrough PRSCA, Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics will be able to obtain individual and professional support for resource development and networking. Help will be available to other organizations that focus on strengthening the Puerto Rican and the rest of the Hispanic community, particularly youth development and cultural differences. PRSCA will provide the opportunity for individuals to enrich their lives by giving time, money, and volunteer effort to the Hispanic Community. HOW WILL PRSCA OPERATEPRSCA will be governed by a nine (9)-member board of directors, made up of community residents with proven commitment to meeting the needs and aspirations of the Hispanic community; especially those of Puerto Rican descend.
